South County girls chosen for All-League team
Soledad High and King City High had two representatives on the Mission Trail Athletic League first-team. Greenfield High had one player on the first-team.

Toro Bulls Youth Football and Cheer announced the date and head coaches of the 34th Annual Central Coast 2018 All-Star High School Football Game.
Aztecs conquer Vikings, 16-6, in Soledad game
Three players had three hits apiece as the Soledad Aztec baseball team hammered the visiting North Salinas Viking 16-6 on Thursday afternoon in Soledad.

For the third straight year the Greenfield boys are cross country champions of the Mission Trail Athletic League. The Bruins had five runners earn All-MTAL medals after out running the rest of the field. Greenfield finished first, followed by Pacific Grove and King City.
Cross Country | Mustang boys win invitational
With five runners in the top six places the King City varsity boys cross country team easily won their division at Saturday’s Jackie Henderson Memorial Invitational hosted by North Monterey High School in Castroville. King City scored 17 points to easily defeat second place San Benito with 66 points. Soledad High placed fifth in the division.
Gonzales, Soledad teams defeat Stevenson at meet
The Gonzales boys and Soledad boys cross country teams defeated Robert Louis Stevenson on Thursday at Dick Force Stadium in Gonzales.
Football | Aztecs wear down against Mustangs
A physical Monte Vista Christian Mustang football team scored three touchdowns in the third quarter to break open a close game against the host Soledad Aztecs on Friday night at Gene Martin Stadium. The Mustangs downed the Aztecs 34-19 in the Mission Division opener for both teams.
King City continues solid play
With over half the league season completed, the King City Lady Mustangs are in second place in team standings with a 7-1 record. King City won two games last week, defeating the host Carmel Padres 3-1 and beating the Pacific Grove Breakers on the road.
San Ardo boxer wins in Modesto
Alvaro Pantoja of the San Ardo Boxing Club won by unanimous decision at the Red Shield Boxing Show in Modesto on Saturday afternoon. Pantoja fought in the 135 pound weight class.
Bruins, Aztec runners place at Hollister
The Greenfield High School and Soledad High School cross country teams came home with team awards and medals for their participation at the Third Annual Dry River Run at Hollister.
