Aztecs place 2nd at section
One of the most successful baseball seasons ever came to end on Saturday for the Soledad Aztec team as they completed the season with a second place finish in the Central Coast Section Division II Championship.

Two victories last week improved the Soledad High volleyball teams record to 3-1 in the Mission Trail Athletic League and 5-3 overall. Other South County teams, however, suffered losses this past week.

The Soledad High boys basketball team began play in the Central Coast Section Division III playoffs last night by hosting the Pajaro Valley High Grizzlies. The Aztecs also hosted the Grizzles last year in the first round and lost 50-46 at home.

Four wins on Saturday earned the King City Lady Mustang volleyball team the championship of the Gold Division at Saturday’s Everett Alvarez Volleyball Tournament in Salinas.
