The Soledad High Aztec varsity baseball team is 1-0-1 to start the Mission Trail Athletic League as they defeated King City 9-7 at home and played to a 2-2 tie with the Mustangs last Friday on the road.

The King City Mustang baseball team won a close one and lost a close one in last week’s away and home series with the Carmel Padres.

The King City Mustangs are just two games out of first in the Mission Trail Athletic League and trail the second place Soledad Aztecs by just one game.

The Gonzales High School softball program ended the season with an awards night and banquet last Thursday at the school cafeteria.
