South County YMCA kicks off fundraising campaign

South County YMCA launched its annual fundraising campaign Feb. 21 at the Windmill Restaurant in Soledad.

FAIR WINDS DOWN

With the theme “Cowboy Up and Wind Down,” the 2017 Salinas Valley Fair brought thousands of visitors to South County last weekend and featured the annual Junior Livestock Auction, which racked in $2.1 million from the sale of 950 animals.

Voices of a new generation

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6747 in King City recently awarded scholarships to six students from South County who participated in the local organization’s Patriot’s Pen Program and Voice of Democracy youth contests.
