Cooling Centers offer relief from weekend heat
A three-day heat wave took over much of California just in time for Labor Day weekend, and the National Weather Service announced an excessive heat advisory warning for Monterey County and the San Francisco Bay Area. To combat the heat and protect residents, South County cities set up cooling centers and stations.
Lioness Club seeks community feedback
The Soledad Lioness Club is currently working on collecting information on the humanitarian and service needs of the City of Soledad by distributing a survey.
HEROES OF HOPE
Hundreds turned out this past weekend to show support for the sixth annual Relay for Life of King City, which has raised more than $58,000 so far in donations this year for the American Cancer Society.
