Soledad Visitors Center provides information, seeks volunteers

SOLEDAD — Heike Kovacs (above) shows a new California map and a Hiking Pinnacles National Park book at the City of Soledad Visitors and Gateway Center on Front Street.

In addition to books and maps, the visitor’s center has information on the California missions, including the Soledad Mission, as well as such nearby points of interests as the Pinnacles National Park, Steinbeck Literacy Trail and wine trail.

The center can host small business meetings, with enough seating to accommodate 20 people.

Volunteer applications are being taken at the center for Monday, Thursday and Friday shifts. Duties for volunteers include greeting visitors, answering phones and providing information to guests.

For more information, contact Kovacs at 831-204-7208 or stop by the visitor’s center, 502 Front St.
