SOLEDAD — Sansone Construction has installed the lights at Gallardo Park for two of the new baseball fields.
According to the City of Soledad website, the construction company is making good progress on the project despite significant delays from PG&E. A ribbon cutting for the park is scheduled for early March and all the ball fields will be ready for use soon after that based on weather and sod establishment.
The sod establishment should be placed down the week of Jan. 22 using a generator for the irrigation pumps while the City waits on PG&E for permanent power.
