SOLEDAD — The Soledad Aztec baseball team outscored the Anzar Hawks 38-3 to win a two-game series at home and on the road. Soledad beat the Hawks 21-0 in the first game and traveled to San Juan Bautista and downed the Hawks by a 17-3 tally.
In the first game the Aztecs banged out 23 hits and were led by Ben Pajas who finished with four hit, nine runs batted in with a home run and a double. Chris Villarreal had four hits with two doubles and was credited with three runs batted in. Isaac Lopez had four base hits, including a double.
Anthony Ramirez added two hits and two RBIs, Robbie Santa Ana had three hits and two RBIs an Adrian Barragan hit a double. Andru Holguin earned the pitching win and received relief from Pajas and Johnathan Ramirez.
Last Thursday Joel Barroso was the winning pitcher in the Aztecs win at San Juan Bautista. Holguin had two home runs with four RBIs and Isaac Lopez had a triple in the lopsided win. Anthony Ramirez finished with three RBIs on one hit.
