SOLEDAD — A 28-year-old man from El Centro, Calif., has died after an agricultural accident June 11 on Camphora and Gloria roads at 12:20 a.m.
The male, whose name has not been released, was riding a Harlo HP 6500 forklift northbound on a private agricultural road at an unknown speed when it traveled off the east side of the road and rolled down an embankment.
The driver suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At the time of the incident the weather was reported as clear, dark and dry.
CHP said it was unknown if alcohol or drugs played a roll in the accident, which is still under investigation.
