Boys and girls are partnered up from the Folklorico group “Sol Y Luna” to perform traditional Mexican dances during the Back to School event. SOLEDAD — Soledad Mission Shopping Center was full of parents, teachers and students who collaborated with local businesses to celebrate “Back to School.”

Several clubs and groups from Soledad High School kicked off the event, including the NJROTC Color Guard, cheerleaders and football players, Soledad FFA and After School students. The event served as a way for parents and students to meet their teachers, principals, superintendent and staff at the different school sites.

Also on the schedule was performances from Sol Y Luna, a folklorico group who performed traditional dances from Mexico.

The businesses that participated in the “Back to School” event were CVS Pharmacy, Foods Co., O’Reilly Auto, Lopez Tax Service, Starbucks, Cash To Go and others.
