Soledad City Council and Soledad Unified School District Board met Nov. 2 to talk about communication, facilities, future development and more.

Monterey County Pops! orchestra’s “Salute to Veterans” concerts, performed in conjunction with the Veterans Day weekend, have been so well-received by hundreds of South County residents for the past four years that the Pops are bringing it back for another free concert at the King City High School Auditorium.

Rotary District Governor Art Gafferty visited the Soledad, Greenfield and Gonzales Rotary Clubs on Oct. 25 to speak about different outreach works that Rotary has participated in.

Earlier this month Monterey County Superintendent of Schools Nancy Kotowski announced her retirement effective January 2019, which was followed by Deputy Superintendent Deneen Newman Guss declaring her candidacy for the position.

Monterey County Agricultural and Rural Life Museum’s sixth annual Ghost Stories returned to San Lorenzo County Park in King City this past Saturday.
