SOLEDAD — Two San Vicente certificated employees were chosen as September Employees of the Month and were recognized by Soledad Unified School District Board Members on Sept. 13 at the board meeting.
Nova Rodriguez and Rosario Sandoval were selected this month and received certificates and a bag filled with special goodies.
Rodriguez is an aide for a Special Day class, but according to Principal Jaime Calderon, she does much more than that for the school.
“She puts the B and the I and the other B in going in above and beyond,” said Calderon. “She helped the first day of school with getting students to the right classroom and the cryers.”
Rodriguez also helped with decorating the office during the summer and making a banner for the San Vicente spirit event.
The second Employee of the Month, Sandoval, is a veteran teacher who is considered a “master educator and well-respected by her colleagues and school staff,” said Calderon.
“She was nominated for providing and implementing strategies and methods to help students of all abilities learn and be successful in the classroom,” Calderon continued. “She is so in tune with the needs of each student. This makes for happy, successful students.”
