SOLEDAD — Bacon took over the Main Street Middle School Gym on May 25 as the Associated Student Body presented “Baconfest.”
Students and families were able to taste bacon in various forms, from bacon cupcakes to bacon hotdogs to bacon strips and even candied bacon. While the students and families were enjoying their bacon choices, they could watch Disney’s “Moana.”
Seventh-grader Lizzette Ortiz attended “Baconfest” because she loves bacon, and she met up with fellow seventh-grader Kimberly Jimenez, who also likes bacon.
“I came to support and be with my friends,” fifth-grader Alejandro Serrato said.
Serrato tried the bacon pieces and the candied bacon and said that both were good. He was also joined by two friends, Antonio Nunez and Miguel Jorge.
“I wanted to come hang out with my friends and eat bacon,” Jorge said.
