SOLEDAD — Drivers should expect delays as the City of Soledad works on Front Street, between San Vicente Road and Miranda Street, for the next eight weeks to install a large 6-foot diameter stormwater pipeline that will increase the capacity of the storm drain system in the area.
The construction will require a 12-foot wide trench and street closures, with each side of the road taking about four weeks of work to complete. Drivers will still be able to travel north and south; however, the lanes may be different than normal.
Southbound traffic lanes will be closed from July 25 to Aug. 24, and the northbound lanes will be closed from Aug. 24 to Sept. 21.
The City is asking that drivers slow down in the construction zone. There will be access to all businesses and residences at all times.
