SOLEDAD — Several pet owners braved the wind April 27 to get their animals vaccinated, eat lunch and receive a collar for dogs.
The City of Soledad and Los Coches Animal Hospital hosted the annual K-9 low cost vaccination clinic at Bill Ramus Park. The line was outside the park full of residents who wanted to vaccinate their pets, get them microchipped, and obtain dog licenses.
Los Coches Animal Hospital invited South County Animal Rescue (SCAR) to the event. SCAR sold swiss sausage lunches and sponsored micro-chipping for all the animals brought during the event.
“We thought it would be a great opportunity for us to be present in the community when they’re bringing their animals out to be vaccinated,” said SCAR President Carla Stewart.
For any dogs that did not have a collar before the event, SCAR provided a free one for the animals.
