SOLEDAD — Soledad Police Department welcomed two new officers, Jesus Contreras and Marco Lugo, who were sworn in Jan. 26.
Contreras has 14 years of experience in a variety of assignments ranging from SWAT and K-9 to field training with a local agency. Lugo also worked with other local law enforcement agencies before joining Soledad Police.
Contreras and Lugo both attended the South Bay Regional Police Academy and are currently going through the Field Training Operations Program.
