SOLEDAD — Main Street Middle School construction continues on Main Street with funds from Measure C approved by voters in November 2012.
The new school is anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2018 and accommodate 1,500 students.
The upgrade will provided the necessary 10 additional classrooms, of which two will be learning centers. The Soledad Unified School District is anticipating an 8 percent increase in population at the school in the next year.
Main Street Middle School was built in 1908 and the new construction will move the school to a new technology-based middle school.
