KING CITY — The King City Lady Mustang softball team defeated MTAL rival Gonzales 18-0 in the last home game of the season and team’s Senior Night.
Anahi Camacho went 3 x 4 with a walk and scored four runs. Mikayla Davis earned the pitching win, throwing a complete game and added three hits, three runs, and four runs batted in.
Lead-off batter Lauren Johnson had a four-hit game with a double, three runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI’s. Julie Arreola had three hits and four RBI’s Before the game the King City program honored senior players Lauren Johnson, Ana Lopez, Madison Owens, and Alexus Andrade.
In the first game of the week on May 8th the host Pacific Grove Breakers defeated the Lady Mustangs 11-1. Megan Flores and Lauren Johnson had basehits for King City. In the final game of the season King City lost 10-7 against Robert Louis Stevenson.
King City finished with a 5-15 overall record and were 3-1 in the Mission Trail Athletic League.
