Stormwater crews are working on the north end of Front Street and Moranda Road, preparing the street to improve stormwater systems.
SOLEDAD — A new Stormwater Recharge Project is slowing down traffic on the north end of the City of Soledad.
The two-month-long project started in August and requires a 12-foot trench and street closures for its completion. The northbound exit from Moranda Street onto Front Street has the right side of the road under construction and the left side split between two directions of traffic.
City staff warned drivers using the exit that they would experience extra traffic and should plan a few additional minutes to get where they need to go.
The Stormwater Project is expected to switch construction sides once one side of the road project is complete, and the whole project is anticipated to be finished at the end of September.
