SOLEDAD — Last Thursday, June 7, at 3:52 p.m. Soledad Fire Department and Cal Fire, with assistance from the Correctional Training Facility, responded to reports of a structure fire in the 300 block of Monterey Street in Soledad.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered part of a fence, miscellaneous car parts and vegetation well involved with fire. The fence was partially damaged in the blaze, and the fire was contained to the property.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire by 4:12 p.m., the cause of which is under investigation. Cal Fire said there were no injuries reported, and no one was displaced as a result of the fire.
