SOUTH COUNTY — Trash never goes out of style, as seen at the 2018 South County Trashion Show in which local designers let their creativity shine through 26 unique dresses made from recycled and repurposed materials, such as canning lids, bubble wrap, plastic and dog food bags.

More than 300 guests attended the third annual luncheon fundraiser Feb. 15 at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds in King City. The event is a benefit for Alliance on Aging, a local nonprofit that provides free services to seniors in Monterey County.
