SOLEDAD — The Santa Clara Corvettes are planning to visit Soledad and show the groups’ corvettes at the Soledad Visitor’s Center on May 21.
The Santa Clara Corvettes are a large Corvette club located in Santa Clara County on the southern end of the San Francisco Bay. The club was founded in 1975 and have grown to a sustained membership of over 200 members.
According to Soledad Visitor’s Center’s Lisa Jo Duffy the Santa Clara Corvettes are going to start in Paso Robles make a stop at Scheid Vineyards in Greenfield, another stop at the Soledad Mission and Pinnacles National Park if time permits.
“Soledad is really on the map now and people are coming back,” said Duffy. “We are getting quite a group coming from the Bay Area and they always stop on the way back.”
A group of 25 people in 12 corvettes will past through Soledad on Monday and be treated to a luncheon hosted by the Visitor’s Center.
The Corvettes range from first generation, 1953-1962 to Seventh Generation 2014 and more recent.
The Corvette ride is coordinated by Social Director Ron Beck.
