SOLEDAD — City of Soledad Community Development Department will conduct a community meeting for the Pinnacles Parkway Project on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 6:30 p.m. at San Vicente School.
The project is a proposed new roadway at the southern end of the city, which would extend from the existing end of Los Coches Drive to Metz Road.
Community members are encouraged to attend the open house meeting, where the Community Development Department staff and its consultants will be available to provide information and answer questions.
The City of Soledad has initiated the planning process for the Pinnacles Parkway Project, with a primary purpose to improve circulation conditions in the southern part of the city and to improve traffic safety conditions, especially near parks and schools on Metz Road.
The roadway concept has been discussed by the City for many years; much of the funding to plan for and construct the roadway has recently become available. The City is in the process of considering options for the roadway alignment and design.
The purpose of the open house is to provide information about the project concept and to give interested citizens an opportunity to discuss their ideas and opinions about the concept, the alignment alternatives and other issues of interest to them.
