Community gives feedback to regional police survey

SOUTH COUNTY — Residents of Gonzales, Soledad, Greenfield and King City took part in a Regional Police Survey to help the local law enforcement get feedback on the region.

The survey included 12 questions and a final question about how the residents and police officers can work together to make the four cities better places to live.

The Regional Survey was made possible through the board of State and Community Corrections, which awarded a Strengthen Law Enforcement and Community Relations grant to the South County cities.

The survey was distributed by the Four Cities United Initiative.

Over 9,000 mailers were sent out to residents of Gonzales, Soledad, Greenfield and King City.

“The goal of the survey is to get feedback on all four police departments on what we have been doing well and what we can do to enhance law enforcement in South Monterey County,” said Special Projects Director Mark Hartunian.

The completed surveys will be collected by the Monterey County Health Department.
