SOLEDAD — Residents of Soledad gathered to celebrate the nation’s birthday at the Little League Park on North Street yesterday for the Fourth of July.
The Soledad High School NJROTC led the way with the presentation of colors down North Street, followed by Soledad students decked out in red, white and blue attire for the Star Spangled Banner Parade.
The NJROTC came into the Little League Park, where the National Anthem was sung.
Event-goers heard about the best dressed Star Spangled Banner Parade participants and more.
The Fourth of July Committee introduced bands, musicians and more while event-goers participated in adults vs. kids games and enjoyed food from various food vendors.
Unfortunately, this year the Fourth of July did not end with a fireworks show from the committee, but members are hopeful to have a show in future years.
