SCAR hosts 3rd annual event at Manzoni Vineyards

SOLEDAD — Manzoni Vineyards and South County Animal Rescue (SCAR) once again banded together to bring the third annual Pinot for Paws to South County.

This year SCAR was aided by the Soledad Lions Club, which provided food and volunteers for the occasion.

“This was our best event yet,” said SCAR President Carla Stewart.

Retreuxspect served as the musical entertainment for the afternoon, while attendees were able to bid on silent auction items and enjoy a full tri-tip meal. A live auction also took place at the June 9 fundraiser.

Proceeds from the event go toward veterinary costs for animals that come to the organization that have been abused or neglected. Rescues are often brought to the event to demonstrate what the organization does for animals in need of care and a good home.
