SOLEDAD — Soledad Medical Clinic recently broke ground on its new Women’s Health Clinic, which will expand the health center’s services to the community with a higher level of care specifically for women.
Clinic staff hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility on Oct. 7.
The Women’s Health Clinic will be a separate building that is roughly 3,000 square feet in size and includes additional exam rooms, full-time OB-GYN and ultrasound services, a state-of-the-art mammogram machine and classrooms for perinatal and nutritional education. It will be built on site in the parking lot area of the medical clinic at 600 Main St. in Soledad.
“We are getting more exam rooms to help with the high demand that we experience from our community,” said Cassie Russo, director of clinic operations at Soledad Medical Clinic.
The new clinic is estimated to open April 2020.
